With the advancement of VFD technology, more and more OEMs are paying attention to the EDM effects caused by shaft voltage. While VFD system provide many benefits, they also create harmful stray currents that travel down the shaft and discharge through the motor’s bearing or the bearings of coupled equipment.

To meet this challenge, Innomotics plans to install shaft grounding rings to protect their motor. BRS supplied the custom-designed samples within 2 weeks and the test result is quite positive. In March BRS has formally supplied shaft grounding products to Innomotics. And in the near future more types of shaft grounding rings will be installed on motors, providing complete protection from damage by shaft voltage. At the same time BRS is continuing to invent new products, applying advanced material to serve more and more industries in local and overseas market.
